Artist Statement

Sukhvir (Sue) Hammond is an abstract painter working in watercolour, acrylic and mixed media. Her paintings explore the relationship between nature, emotion, and personal experience through expressive colour, texture, and layered compositions. Guided by intuition, Sue creates work that invites viewers to pause, reflect, and discover their own meaning within each piece.

Artist Bio

Sukhvir (Sue) Hammond has lived in Norfolk County since 2020. Originally from London, ON, she started her art practice in 2015 in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she was a member of the St. Paul Lowertown Underground Artists Cooperative. Sukhvir has been on the Norfolk Studio Tour since 2022 and has participated in gallery exhibits and festivals in the local arts community.
