Artist Statement

My art focuses on the repurposing, adaptive reuse and juxtaposition of materials, to add depth and meaning through layering. This year my art is focused on local themes, ‘my favourite things’, and ‘fun and games’, with the hope of bringing joy to others.

Artist Bio

Melissa Stickl is a mixed media and collage artist based in Simcoe, ON and the ‘M’ of J & M Farm Studio. She is also an architect, shareholder and the director of architecture at G. Douglas Vallee (Vallee) in Simcoe, ON, a director with the Lynnwood Arts Centre Board of Management, and an aspiring flower farmer.
