Artist Statement
Creating sculpture and decor through intricate collections of upcycled metal; all hand welded and uniquely designed. Each peice tells a story in both subject matter and the collective material used; some reflective of the world around us, and some entirely derived from the dark depths of the artists imagination.
Artist Bio
Trickett MeTal Art jas grown to be described as a hidden gem of Norfolk County, located in the back alley garage of Mackay Trickett in beautiful Port Rowan. Mackay Trickett has combined his professional skills of welding and mechanics with his passion and creative eye to see what scrap metal can be, in its next life. Trickett MeTal Art has spent the past 5 years being showcased in various local events, boutiques, and community fundraisers as well has traveled to events in Mississauga, Brant and Oxford counties. Trickett MeTal Art is proud of the commissioned custom works that have homes beyond Ontario: into Quebec, Alberta, and multiple states in America. Trickett MeTal Art is excited to be returning for a second year on the Norfolk Studio Tour.
